A genuine U.S. Vietnam War era M1 helmet. This M1 steel pot was manufactured by Parish Division of the Dana Corporation who made helmets in 1968-1970 for the U.S. during the Vietnam War and has a heat stamp number of: 5611, and comes with a good quality chin strap. Painted on the front of the helmet is the logo for the 25th Infantry Division, this appears to have been recently added to the helmet. The genuine U.S. post-Vietnam liner was made by Marmac featuring detachable webbing, comes with genuine U.S. nape strap dated 1985 and a genuine U.S. sweatband dated 1979 both with DLA contract marks. The genuine U.S. Mitchell cover retains its original colours and is DSA (Defense Supply Agancy) contract marked dated 1974, comes with a good quality elastic helmet band. A nice complete affordable M1 helmet, perfect for reenacting.
