A good example of a genuine U.S. Vietnam War era M1 helmet. The U.S. M1 helmet was made by McCord during the 1950's/Korean War and was reissued in the 1960's, has a heat stamp number of: M - 135B, has faded white regiment markings for the 506th Infantry Regiment along with an NCO rank bar marking to rear. The genuine U.S. P64 liner was made by Consolidated Molded Plastics, has faded DSA (Defense Supply Agency) ink contract markings to the suspension webbing with a manufactures date of 1974, and comes with a genuine U.S. sweatband. The genuine U.S. Mitchell cover shows signs of heavy use and was made in 1970 with DSA contract markings, around the cover is a genuine Vietnam War issued rubber helmet band made from a truck tyre inner tube. Also included is a genuine U.S. Vietnam War era plastic spoon and genuine U.S. Vietnam War era matchbook. Nice helmet with very interesting regiment/NCO markings.
