A genuine U.S. Vietnam War era T-56-6 CVC (Combat Vehicle Crewman's) helmet. This helmet is made from laminated ballistic nylon and was used by crewmembers requiring access to the vehicles communications system, it was used by both the Marines and Army in various vehicles during the Vietnam War. This helmet is in excellent condition for its age and was made by Sierra and is dated June 1962 in a size Large, it retains its original suspension webbing with manufacturers label showing a government DSA (Defense Supply Agency) contract number DSA-1-839-62, headphones and boom microphone (M-138/G), has the SA-1552/G communication system made by ISC, and retains the original vehicle connection cord complete with vehicle communications end. A very nice complete early example.
