A genuine U.S. Vietnam War era RT-176A/PRC-10 receiver & transmitter field radio. Introduced in the 1950's and was used in both the Korean & Vietnam wars, and continued to be used until the mid 60's when it was eventually replaced by the PRC-25 although the Marines continued to use it until 1967. This radio uses a frequency range 38.0 to 54.9 MHz, Super-Heterodyne FM Receiver/Transmitter. Can be carried by a soldier or vehicle mounted. This PRC-10 is in issued condition, function buttons are all present as is the battery connector, both radio and battery box retains its original green paint. Internal components appear to be in good shape, missing the manufacturers plate. Comes with the CY-744A battery box that's had a few little knocks and doesn't quite marry up perfectly to the base of the radio, yet good enough to secure the two clasps for a nice tight connection, the box features two movable arms to base that allows the radio to stand upright on a flat surface.
