Made for use by the U.S. during WW1 and was modeled after the British pattern 1913 bayonet, re-issued during WW2 and used by both the U.S. & British. For use on the M1917 30-06 rifle, various trench shotguns, and P14 rifle, This excellent example M1917 features a 17” blade with fullers, the ricasso is stamped 1917 with Remington roundel, on the other side the ignited grenade with eagles head & arsenal mark. Features a steel pommel, walnut grips with slot head bolts and slotted round nuts.
