An excellent example of a genuine Russian ZSH-3M flying helmet, as used by pilots flying high performance jet fighters during the Cold War. This impressive set includes the fiber reinforced helmet with large hinged tinted visor that can be locked in the up position, and then retracted down to shield from glares, visor has a couple of marks to front. Inside the helmet is a blue padded lining in excellent shape, retains the original Russian manufacturer’s label, and has a sunken area to fit the leather helmet. Numbers in red ‘78/91’ on the left side (years of service?), and on the back is Russian text also in red, most probably the pilots surname. Comes with the correct & original leather helmet with oxygen mask attachments, speakers and connection cord, leather helmet is in excellent condition. Oxygen Mask is correct being a KM-32 that has a manufactures date of 1989, oxy mask is in excellent condition and is complete with all helmet connectors, has no oxy hose, mask rubber is nice and malleable. Attached is the correct and original Russian throat microphone with adjustment strap. The original Russian flying goggles are still in their original packing box along with original instructions, unissued, and comes with a set of unused tinted lenses in a blue storage pouch, and also includes a spare issued throat microphone.
