Genuine U.S. Army Vietnam War era M1956 1 quart canteen cover, this is a 2nd pattern with two snap fasteners to font and slide keepers/Alice clips to back, faint DSA (Defense Supply Agency) ink contract number to back and would have been manufactured in 1960’s, has some small plucks and tear to base. The genuine U.S. M1961 1 quart plastic polyethylene canteen is in good shape and is 'U.S.' marked and dated 1977 made by SAY and has the NBC cap first introduced in 1969.
