A genuine World War 2 U.S. M1 helmet & liner. This M1 steel pot was original made by McCord during WW2 with a front seam and has a heat stamp number: 345C indicating it was made in November 1942, original corking remains on the helmet, and has been repainted to appear like a Military Police helmet, it retains the original U.S. chin strap with original blackened steel metalwork fittings. Comes supplied with an original U.S. P55 liner made by Westinghouse with original OD7 webbing, liner is in excellent shape and has an original U.S. sweatband and original U.S. nape strap, attached to the liner is a good quality leather chin strap, liner has remnants of two original decals to the left and right side for the U.S. Army XVI Corps.
