A genuine World War 2 M1 Helmet that has been converted into a Paratrooper M1C. The M1 steel pot was made during World War 2 by McCord and has a front seam with an early heat stamp number of 112A, this low number indicates it was made in April 1942. The helmet has been repainted dark green over the original corked paint, has good quality reproduction tan/OD3 Paratrooper chin straps with blackened brass metalwork. The original bales have been removed and replaced with Paratrooper D ring bales. The liner is genuine U.S. World War 2 era that was originally made by the Westinghouse Electric Company, the original webbing has been removed and replaced with good quality reproduction tan/OD3 webbing that now has the Paratrooper A straps, connected to the A straps is a good quality leather chin cup. The vintage leather chin strap is good quality with brass metalwork. Around the outside of the helmet is tan/OD3 cargo 2" square netting. A very nice reproduction of a complete M1C paratrooper helmet with an original WW2 shell and liner.
