A genuine U.S. Vietnam War era M1943 entrenching tool & M1956 carrier. The M1943 tool was created during WW2 and has a wooden shaft that can be fixed in three different positions, it can be folded for storage in the carrier, placed at 90 degrees for use as a pick or fixed in the normal position to be used as a shovel and is U.S. marked, its dated 1945 and made by AMES in excellent condition. The genuine U.S. OD7 M1956 carrier features a bayonet hanger, snap fastener and reinforced with eight rivets that can accommodate either the M1943 or M1951 entrenching tool, its DSA (Defense Supply Agency) contract marked and dated 1965.
