A genuine U.S. Vietnam War era RT-841 AN/PRC-77 (aka prick 77) portable transceiver. The RT-841 AN/PRC-77 was a military portable VHF transceiver, also known as a backpack radio, introduced by the US Army in 1968 as the successor to the AN/PRC-25. The radio was used heavily during the Vietnam War, and differs from its predecessor in that its RF power amplifier stage (PA) is fully solid state, whereas the PA of the PRC-25 was made with thermionic valves. Was made in the late 1960's by the Radio Corp of America with an early serial number of: 1883. Internally appears complete and is nice and clean inside. All the dials and switches appear to operate freely, and frequency dials move the frequency numbers correctly.
