This U.S. M1 helmet was originally made by McCord during World War and was reissued in the 1960's it has a heat stamp number: 1144B indicating it was made in late 1944/early 1945, the chinstrap has anchor marking to the metalwork, chin strap bale mounts has some remnants of green paint, a sign of early issue. The genuine U.S. P64 liner is in very good shape and was made by Marmac, faint ink DSA (Defense Supply Agency) contract markings to the suspension webbing and would have been made in the 1960's. The liner has genuine U.S. sweatband and nape strap made in the 1960's, sweatband has a soldiers name and service number: Anthony M Francis 12594941. The genuine U.S. Mitchell cover is DSA contract marked and made in 1970 with some field repairs to the brim edge.
