A genuine Vietnam War era U.S. M17A1 gas mask & carrier case. Often used by U.S. troops when gas was used to flush out enemy soldiers in bunkers and tunnels, and also used when having to deal with body counts to block out the smell. This M17A1 gas mask is in excellent condition and was made by Mine Safety Appliances Co USA, mask is dated 1971 in medium size. Comes with a genuine U.S. M17 gas mask carrier case with both straps attached, and includes a plastic waterproof hood for the mask that is stored in the side pocket.
