A genuine Vietnam War era U.S. M17A1 gas mask & carrier case. Often used by U.S. troops when gas was used to flush out enemy soldiers in bunkers and tunnels, and also used when having to deal with body counts to block out the smell. This M17A1 gas mask is mint/unopened still sealed and was made by Mine Safety Appliances Co USA, the packing bag shows a cure date of June 1968 fulfilling a 1971 government contract date. Includes sealed in bag a pair of outsert tinted M1 eyelens and an unused waterproof mask cover. The carrier case is case is unissued new old stock in excellent condition. Rare to find these gas masks still sealed/unopened.
