A genuine World War 2 British RAF/SOE escape and evasion miniature compass. Developed by Christopher Clayton Hutton at MI9.  Black painted cylindrical brass case with a magnetized 'star' rotor and luminous dots to indicate North and South. Glass cover with beveled edge, this half inch compass was used by the British SOE (Special Operations Executive) & RAF pilots.
