An excellent example of a genuine U.S. Army M1965 Field Jacket. The M65 jacket was introduced into U.S. military service in 1965 and was the replacement for the M51 jacket, it included a built in hood that could be rolled up into a pouch around the neck, it also had Velcro fasteners to the sleeve cuffs and collar and was widely used during the Vietnam War and continued to be used up until the late 90's. This small-regular sized M65 OG-107 jacket is in excellent condition and appears unissued, original poppers and zippers are all in great shape and fully working, all the buttons are present, original draw strings are present and the original hood is present, the main zipper pull cord is present and original. Retains the original manufacturer care and size label, DSA (Defense Supply Agency) contract number and was made in 1976 by manufacturer John Ownbey Co Inc USA.
