A genuine British World War 1 era rarer early version of the MK VI Verner's Service Pattern prismatic military compass, this quality compass was made by C Baker 244 High Holborn, London (1910-1947 Succeeded by C. Baker Ltd) and would have been constructed around 1910-1914. The compass is in excellent condition and excellent working order, comes with its original leather case with the initials W.T.M on the front, case has belt loop to back. These compasses were standard issue to British officers at the start of WW1, and many were privately purchased by soldiers. Includes original manufacturers green tag with bearing adjustments.
