An excellent example of a genuine mid to late 1970's U.S. M1 helmet with ERDL cover. This M1 steel pot was made between 1968-1970 by Parish Division of Dana Corp and has a heat stamp number 3602, complete with period correct chin strap with 'P' (Parish) manufacture markings on the bale connectors and clasp. The early liner is DSA (Defense Supply Agency) contract marked and dated 1973 fullfillling a 1974 contract date, with quick release webbing made by Firestone, the sweatband is DSA (Defense Supply Agency) contract marked and dated 1977. The ERDL cover is also DLA contract marked and is dated 1984, and comes with a genuine U.S. elastic band with cats eyes to back as issued with these helmets. A very nice complete U.S. M1 helmet in excellent overall condition.
