A genuine U.S. Vietnam War era RT-176A/PRC-10 receiver & transmitter field radio (serial number 8282). Introduced in the 1950's and was used in both the Korean & Vietnam wars, and continued to be used until the mid 60's when it was eventually replaced by the PRC-25 although the Marines continued to use it until 1967. This radio uses a frequency range 38.0 to 54.9 MHz, Super-Heterodyne FM Receiver/Transmitter. Can be carried by a soldier or vehicle mounted.
This PRC-10 is in excellent issued condition, its being sold as untested, the internals look in great shape and all the function dials and buttons appear to be good order, the tuning dial moves correctly and dial lock works, still has the original aux & long range socket covers, battery connector is in great shape too. Comes with the CY-744A battery box that’s in excellent condition and nice and clean inside, features two movable arms to base that allows the radio to stand upright on a flat surface. The radio was made by Admiral Corporation USA and is dated 1962, the CY-744A battery box was also made by Admiral Corporation USA and is dated 1962.
