A genuine British Boar War/World War 1 P1888 bayonet and scabbard sheath used with the .303 caliber M1888 Lee-Metford and Long Lee-Enfield rifles. This bayonet is dated 1899 and was made by Royal Arms Factory, Enfield with EFD markings, pommel has a single letter 'N' we believe for navel issue. Various inspection marks as photographed, government acceptance markings and out of service marks. Scabbard also has inspection markings, leather is soft and mainly in good shape with exception to the bottom tear as pictured.
