A genuine U.S. P55 liner as used with the M1 helmet. This P55 liner was made by Micarta that was a subdivision of Welstinghouse Electric Company in 1961, Westinghouse made M1 liners for the U.S. during WW2, The Korean War & The Vietnam War. Liners like this were typically used in non-combat roles as a helmet. The liner is black painted with bright yellow horizontal lines, in-between these lines are two decals of the U.S. Army NCO Academy based in Germany, front of the liner has a metal U.S. Army branch insignia badge. Comes supplied with a late 50's early 60's green canvas chin strap, and has a genuine U.S. sweatband/headband. The U.S. 7th Army NCO (Noncommissioned Officer) Academy was created in 1949 and is still in operation today.
