A genuine World War 1 era U.S. Army M1910 entrenching tool. The M1910 was used by the U.S. during World War 1 and continued to be used during the start of World War 2 before eventually being replaced with the M1943, and was carried on the soldier's back under the meat can and cover and on top of the haversack and pack carrier. Many of these WW1 shovels were reused during WW2. This entrenching tool is in very good overall condition and nice and solid, has U.S. markings on the wood shaft and metalwork.
