A genuine U.S. P55 liner as used with the M1 helmet. This P55 liner was made by CAPAC manufacturing Company in the 1950's and such liners were used in the Korean War and early in the Vietnam War. Liners like this were typically used in non-combat roles as a helmet. It features black painted top with genuine period decals of the 11th Airborne Division on one side and on the other side 457th Airborne Field Artillery decal, and on the front a metal U.S. Army branch insignia badge. Inside the liner is hand written details in white paint of a soldier that once used it "Robert J Peterson 36820105", it comes with a genuine U.S. nape strap dated 1957 and a genuine U.S. headband/sweatband, liners suspension webbing is in excellent shape.
