A very nice example of a genuine U.S. Gentex H-4 flying helmet as used by the U.S. Navy & USMC. This 1950's Korean War era helmet features the traditional gold paint with addition of the flame orange top, typically done to make the wearer more visible if they unfortunately had to ditch. The helmet comes with a cloth liner made by General Textile Mills Inc (Gentex). The helmet and liner come with adjustable canvas chin straps with press stud attachments, both the liner and helmet retain their original manufacturer labels, the helmet is also made by Gentex and is a size medium, hand written inside the helmet is the name 'Eldridge' and the letters LCDR (for Lieutenant commander).
