An excellent example of a genuine U.S. Vietnam War era tropical combat trousers in ERDL (Engineer Research and Development Laboratory) camouflage. Issued to elite reconnaissance and special operations units beginning early 1967. This 6th pattern cotton RipStop Poplin hot weather trousers features green 'Lowland' leaf pattern camouflage. The trousers are in excellent overall condition with two waist adjustment tabs to the side that allows the waist size to be adjusted down by 4 inches, has two cargo pockets to the legs with two regular pockets, both drawstrings are present. Being a 6th pattern it has a zipper and the left thigh cargo pocket also has an inner pocket designed to hold a survival kit. Size Medium-Short, retains the original size and manufacturers care labels, DSA (Defense Supply Agency) contract marked and were made in 1968 by Winfield MFG Co Inc.
