A fantastic example of a genuine early first pattern U.S. Army M1965 Field Jacket. The M65 jacket was introduced into U.S. military service in 1965 and was the replacement for the M51 jacket, it included a built in hood that could be rolled up into a pouch around the neck, it also had Velcro fasteners to the sleeve cuffs and collar and was widely used during the Vietnam War and continued to be used up until the late 90's.

This regular-medium sized M65 jacket is in excellent condition, original poppers and Conmar zippers look like new and are all in great shape and fully working, all the buttons are present, original draw string is present and the original hood is present, the main zipper pull cord is present and original. Retains the original manufacturer care and size labels, DSA (Defense Supply Agency) contract number DSA 100-1690 indicates this was made in 1965 the same year the M65 jacket was released. A very clean and rare example of this iconic jacket.
