A genuine World War 2 German M40 helmet made by F.W. Quist G.m.b.H., Esslingen. This is a very nice example of a Quist M40 helmet that has its original steel liner attached, with original split pins and its original leather still present plus part of the original chin strap, during the war it was reissued and overpainted by hand with thick antiglare paint, and has an original Heer decal. Marked Q64 (Size 64) with the batch/lot number: LN360 indicating it was manufactured by Quist in 1940.
