A genuine World War 1 German M17 helmet made by Eisenhuette Silesia, Paruschowitz Oberschlesien. This good solid helmet is a size 66 that still retains the M98 hooks, the shell is an M16 with the M17 steel liner, in 1917 Germany changed the leather liner to a steel liner turning the M16 into what's now referred to as the M17. As you can see pictured inside the helmet it has retained the original M17 steel liner band and the original split pins, also some of the original paint is visible inside and is marked 'Si 66' for Silesia.
