A genuine World War 2 U.S. liner used as a helmet by the USMC at Camp Hansen in Okinawa, Japan. This M1 liner was re-painted in the white & red colours used at Camp Hansen, it has an original WW2 USMC cap badge on the front, tan WW2 webbing that is in excellent condition with nape strap and original tan headband/sweatband, the liner was made by Mine Safety Appliances in mid to late 1943. The liner is in good shape with a small crack to the front, it comes with a leather & brass chinstrap that is marked 'A Raymond' probably European made in the 50's.
