A genuine U.S. Military Police M1 liner used as a helmet. This very interesting P64 Firestone liner has the numbers '615' on one side possibly for the '615th Military Police Company' that was assigned to Vietnam throughout the war, on the other side is the decal insignia for the '793rd military police battalion' that was assigned to the first Gulf War, the Latin on the insignia 'Facta cum honore' means Achievement with honor. The liner is in very good condition for its age and still retains the original manufactures label, its DSA (Defense Supply Agency) marked on the label with a manufactures date of September 7th 1973, the headband/sweatband is also DSA marked and dated 1973.
