A genuine World War 2 era slouch hat made by the Harritz Hat Factory in South Africa and is dated 1943. These hats were a popular private purchase by British and Australian troops fighting in the African campaign, and were also worn in other campaigns in hot environments. This felt hat features a turned brim to the left, secured in position by a United Carr fastener, hat a leather sweatband are in excellent condition with a couple of tiny moth nips (as pictured) on the underside of the hat, leather sweatband has the manufacturer details and is in a size 7 1/8.
