A very scarce World War 1 U.S. holster made by Graton & Knight, this holster is very similar in design to the M1911 (M1916) holster but it designed for a slightly smaller (total gun length 7" or under) automatic pistols like the .32 Colt 1903 & Savage 1907, these pistols were typically carried by generals and officers. It's in very good condition with nice soft well aged leather, brass ball catch to front that holds the flap in place. Has the double hook attachment to back for webbing attachment plus belt loop. All the stitching is in place, has 'U.S.' embossed on the front, on the back is G&K (Graton & Knight), the manufacturer date of 1917 and the government inspector marking J.A.O.
